Life in a 55+ active adult community has its many benefits<\/a>. Far removed from the bustle of your standard neighborhood humming with children and busy parents, these communities represent the pinnacle of what life can be when peace and quiet are a priority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But how is this achieved? Well, 55+ communities benefit from an age-exclusive agreement, preventing those under the age of 55 from owning a home in the community. (One exception to the age limit is for couples as long as one spouse is 55 or older.) This keeps new families and young couples from potentially becoming loud neighbors. But what happens when you want to have guests stay over? And how long can your children or grandchildren come to visit? For answers to these questions and more, we spoke to Eban Pinto, one of our New Homes Sales Consultants at K. Hovnanian\u2019s Four Seasons at Baymont Farms<\/a>, a 55+ community located in beautiful Middletown, DE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enjoy the Area<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Planned and built with purpose, active lifestyle communities often enjoy being near golf courses, popular amusement parks, and stunning natural attractions. Residents want to enjoy their free time their way, and that means having options when it comes to having a great time. With all this fun to be had, wouldn’t you want to share the experience with friends and loved ones?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So when 55+ communities operate with restrictions on their residents\u2019 ability to have long-term guests, making it difficult for friends and families to visit, it prevents them from enjoying those incredible attractions as much as possible. These locations are not to be missed, which is why younger visitors are welcome and expected at K. Hovnanian\u2019s Four Seasons communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part of what keeps life so fun in an active lifestyle community are the many activities and amenities open to residents. \u201cI have seen communities put limits on when kids can do things, like be in the pool,\u201d Sales Consultant and Four Seasons representative Eban Pinto says. \u201cBut we want to encourage families and grandchildren to visit \u2014 and to enjoy the things their relatives get to enjoy, every day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With fantastic things to do around every corner of a Four Seasons community, we want every guest to enjoy their time to the fullest, not just our residents. During the warmer months, Four Seasons\u2019 pools are a popular way to beat the heat, and an excellent place to gather with family and friends for a quick dip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Younger Visitors<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With people visiting 55+ communities for family gatherings and get-togethers, young guests should be welcome to enjoy all the things residents love about community living, and can often act as a happy addition to their lives. \u201cIn the summer, it\u2019s not uncommon to see families with their kids riding bikes through our communities,\u201d Eban said. \u201cIt\u2019s something our residents enjoy doing \u2014 introducing the grandkids to their friends in the community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a Four Seasons community, younger family members are free to visit and stay for as long as community rules allow. \u201cAt Baymont Farms,\u201d Eban said, \u201cit\u2019s 30 overnight stays per every 12-month period. But other communities like K. Hovnanian\u2019s Four Seasons at Belle Terre<\/a> allow for 90. Since they are closer to the beach, we\u2019d expect longer stays from younger guests.\u201d\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
