Charlotte Douglas International Airport

Located near the border of North and South Carolina, Charlotte/Douglas International serves as a gateway to the world for the Charlotte Region. Owned and operated by the City of Charlotte, Charlotte/Douglas averages 550 daily flights and 23 million passengers annually. 

CATS - Charlotte Area Transit System

It is CATS' philosophy that the transit system should and can share the responsibility for improving the quality of life throughout the Charlotte region. CATS currently serves Mecklenburg County,  in addition to providing service to the City of Concord in Cabarrus County and the City of Gastonia in Gaston County.  CATS has also begun serving the Town of Mooresville in Iredell County and the Town of Rock Hill in York County.

A Light Rail Transit system is already approved for the South Corridor, from Charlotte to Pineville.  Four other major traffic corridors are being studied, as well as the Center City itself, the termination point of all five corridors.
