Stephen G already had a new home "pretty much under contract" when a friend told him, "You just have to take a look at this place," in referring to Parkwood Builders' Lakes of Buckingham community in Houston, Texas.  One look was all it took to convince him to drop the contract and buy a Parkwood Builders' home.

"We looked at the Briarwood, which we eventually bought, and were just astounded at the size and price.  We got a home that was 1,100 square feet larger than the house we'd been looking at for basically the same price," Stephen explains, "Per square foot, there was absolutely no competition at all."

Stephen knows what he's talking about.  He says he has purchased four homes in the past six years, but that this one is going to be "home."

He was especially impressed by the construction manager during the completion of his new Parkwood Builders' home.  "He was one of the best, if not the best," Stephen explains.  "During construction, he really listened and was really in tune with our wants and needs.  After the house was finished, a few little issues popped up as they will in any new house.  When we asked about something, there was a crew there in 20 minutes."

"It really all comes down to just great A-1 customer service," he adds.

Now that his family has settled in to their new Parkwood Builders' home, Stephen hasn't stopped singing praises for the community.  "Now, I'm the one who is telling my friends, 'Hey, you just have to come out and take a look at this place,'" he says. 

Several of his friends have purchased Parkwood Builders' homes "just down the street," he adds, "and I'm sure there will be more."

In summing up his feelings, Stephen says, "You're able to attract people who are still working - not just retired executives of people like that - by offering great houses for great prices."
