With moving comes a lot of change, but the biggest change for Philip Ianiro was his perception of “active adult” living. Prior to purchasing his new home with his wife, Doreen, at K. “When we talked about moving, friends of ours suggested looking at an active adult community and my perception was of people who are anything but active,” he said. “From our first visit to Four Seasons at South Knolls, that was dispelled immediately. Moving from a condominium in Secaucus, Philip and Doreen were looking for additional space but also did not want to lose their maintenance-free lifestyle.

“Amenities are good for a community because it gives people a chance for togetherness on a larger scale without needing to be in each other’s homes,” said Philip. “We use the fitness center every day and, while there, we get to talk to our neighbors and socialize. The facilities are state-of-the art and filled with top of the line equipment. Doreen plans to sign up for an aquasize class and make use of the heated indoor pool that is open all year round.”

“Four Seasons at South Knolls is absolutely well-designed, and it is evident that each time K. Hovnanian builds a community they improve upon the design by listening to resident’s suggestions,” said Philip.
Adds Doreen, “When we went to choose our home site, they asked us where we would want the sun to come in – the front or the back of the home – and then showed us which home sites would accommodate what we wanted. But the most amazing thing is the Home Design Gallery. It is huge and as you go through it you can view everything starting with the standard offerings right through to all the upgrades. Truly, it’s like being a kid in a candy store.”
